Bio and Experience

Hi John
I was looking to tell you some good news.  I had the results of my blood tests.
My blood sugar was 95!!  My total cholesterol was 192 and A1C - 6.0. Thanks to working with you,
I had these great test results.  I'm trying to be consistent.

Thanks for your help.  I look forward to working with you when I return
from Puerto Rico.

Hello John,

I just wanted to let you know, I am now down 49 lbs!  I am very happy.
Everyone is finally noticing my weight loss and I've gone down three sizes! So when
I slip one day, I go right back to it for the rest of the week.  I am totally conscious of
calories and fat grams, so I stay away from high calorie and fat products, but I do
give myself an occasional sweet treat.  My sweet tooth demands it, but I only
have half of the amount I would have eaten in the past.  I am determined not
to let myself get back to the poor diet I had in the past.

Thanks, for your help.

Hi John

My Monday night visits with you are such a pleasure.
You are so encouraging and supportive. It would be
so easy for me to go back to my bad habits but when
I hear your encouragement, it helps me to stay on track.

I tell the girls at work that after my visits with you,
it's easier (most of the time) not to eat the doughnut,
or the piece of cake or the extra whatever. Thanks
for your support.

I watched your DVD last night and you're right - there
were some parts that made me laugh. I never knew about
the 10,000 steps though. I don't even come close to that!
I'll have to get a pedometer and see how I can improve
on this. I'll work on the exercises and I did much better
today with regard to time between eating. I ate at 7:30,
 10:00 and 12:30. I'll have a snack at around 3:30 and
then my dinner.

It is an ongoing, every day, process.

Thank you again.

Cindy

Dear John,

About six weeks ago I took advantage of your free consultation.
(You may remember-a 67-year-old woman with a husband who
loved to have snacks around the house.) Unfortunately, I was
unable to work the more extensive nutritional program into our
present budget even though I 'm sure that it would have been
very helpful.

However, I wanted to thank you for your time and let you know
that your suggestions have made a difference in my eating habits.
Individually, each may not seem a major change but together
they have made a difference. More fruits, nuts, raw foods and
fewer starches and sweets have given me relatively more energy
and fewer digestive problems. I eliminated the cookies and most
of the baked goods that I previously believed that I couldn't live
without-and that I snacked on constantly. My ice cream
consumption is practically nil since I have substituted fat free
yogurts. And any cravings for candy is under control. My
sister-in-law gave me a very effective tip: one Tootsie Roll Midgee
satisfies that-gotta-have candy feeling and contains only 10 calories.
Pretty neat, huh?

Finally, I have increased my walking somewhat-my daughter gave
me a pedometer-and I added another morning of water exercises
each week.

So-thanks again

Roberta
